3 beams up and
first ceiling boards secured - 14 February
Another day of wonderful weather, considering that about 90% of
this summer has been mist and drizzle (after all Kwasizabantu Mission is 1000 m above
sea-level and we literally "live in the clouds"). Just a few hundred metres
towards our main road (the R74) there is a dramatic drop into a valley which stretches for
at least 50km. If the south wind brings clouds along this valley it hits the road and
suddenly we're in the clouds, which for us means, mist and poor visibility. We pray for
more days like yesterday and today because so much more can be done at the construction
site.
In the later afternoon (see the first 2 rows of photos here) a
south wind was bringing in heavy clouds and mist would soon be upon us as they rushed to
finish the ceiling boards for the 3 beams. |
