Cedar College of Education The 12th Graduation Ceremony of CCE was held on 8 April 2009. A total of 12 candidates completed their studies. We are privileged to have students from all over the world and this is again revealed in the composition of this year's multicultural graduandi. The majority came from South Africa but we also had graduandi from Botswana, Lesotho, America and Romania. We were honoured with the presence of two leading dignitaries from NWU. They were the Acting Rector, NWU, Prof Mariėtte Lowes and Prof Barry Richter, Director; School for Curriculum Based Studies. Prof Mariėtte Lowes was also the guest speaker for the evening. Together with Mr. Alpheus Mdlalose, Chairman of the CCE Governing Board, the dignitaries from North West University, did the presentations. Miss Lidia Veciunca, from Romania received the Special Award of best student in Education. Rev. Erlo Stegen, Director of the Kwasizabantu Mission addressed the audience on the well-known portion of scripture as found in Matt. 16:26: "Will people gain anything if they win the whole world but lose their life? Of course not! There is nothing they can give to regain their life". The Domino Servite School Brass Band as well as the CCE Choir provided high quality and enjoyable entertainment. "SANCTUS DEO" - Holy unto the Lord. Below are some photos of the Cedar College of Education (CCE) Graduation. To read more please visit the Cedar College website here.
