Visit by Korean Christian Leaders - 10-12
January 2003

It was such a joy to host brethren from the East. The two day visit was arranged by Dr
Tia Ao of the Nagaland Mission Movement who is a missionary in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa. The leader of the group is Dr Hack Bong Chung of South Korea. He is the
founder of a number of seminaries in Seoul, Nagaland and Washington State in the US. Dr
Chung (72) is also the author of 40 books. Having grown up in North Korea he was captured
during the war with the South (in the 1950's) where he was interned for 3 years. It was in
prison that he found a living relationship with Jesus Christ and he has spent his life
since that moment on preaching, lecturing and writing, to help win
others to Christ and train Christian leaders.
Accompanying the group is Dr Gisuke Chujo who a leading Japanese Evangelical who is also
doing missionary work in South Korea, and lectures in various seminaries.
The group of 13 also sang in the Kwasizabantu evening service and gave greetings from
Christians in Korea and Japan. |
