Ephesians 3: 14 - 17

1. Those who grow up without an earthy father often suffer as a result. However, knowledge that our heavenly Father is a true father and has made us part of His family, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, brings comfort and true security. Jesus reconconciled those who were at enmity (Eph 2:16). Through repentance and rebirth we become part of God's family.

2. The inner man (vs 16) is often negelected because we spend so much time with our outer man, our physical bodies. We should be concerned about the condition of our inner man. Is he healthy and strengthened?

3. Rooted in love (vs 17). We need our roots go down deep into God's love so that we will never be shaken by every wind which blows.

This is all possible because of the gift (which we celebrate during this time of Christmas) of Jesus Christ.
