Report back on Easter Botswana trip - 2002
by team leader, Bruno Hlongwane

We left KSB on Thursday (28 March) after our school closed. Our trip was very busy and
with much blessing. When we arrived at Tom`s place (North West Province), about 5km
from his house, the tyre of the Toyota Ventura had a blow out and damaged the tyre to such
an extent hat we could not repair it. The Lord was good because we could get help at the
Snymans. We left the house the following day on Friday morning to proceed to Botswana.
(Tom, Jappie and Herman, joined us with their Landrover and trailer.)
The road was not very busy but we met with 12 police road blocks. Because of these delays
we only arrived at our destination at 8:00 pm. John Walters (the missionary at Rakobs in
Botswana) and the congregation were very pleased to welcome us. It was very warm where we
put the tents for our accommodation. As you might have heard of John Walters' accident
(where he was seriously injured), it was amazing to see how he recovered.
The services where such a blessing to us as a team and to the people there.
We preached, showed them Christian videos and shared some testimonies. Their hospitality
was really beyond what one thinks possible in those areas. On Monday morning we proceeded
to Ghanzi and the other members of the team returned to their homes.
home. From Rakops to Ghanzi it was about 500 km. We had a
service at the Christian school, which has about 45pupils, and it was a great
blessing. After another service the next morning we left to return back to Kwasizabantu in
South Africa.
