Friedel Stegen read from Eph 5: 25 & 26

The love and grace of Jesus is amazing to us. If we look back we see how God has been sanctifying and purifying us through His Word. Often one is inclined to give up on people, even with our own lives, but we see God's patience with us. I sometimes say: "If I was God I would have given up on Friedel long ago." But God, in His grace, constantly speaks to us and step by step He cleanses and purifies.

God attains His purposes with us as long as we allow Him to. If we seek God with all our heart and fully submit to Him, He will do His work in us.

In Titus 2: 11 & 12 we read that the grace of God teaches us to "deny ungodliness..." Christ wants His bride without spot or wrinkle.

In Jer 29: 11 we learn that God's thoughts towards us are good. It is the devil who says that God just wants to punish us. If God chastises you, like a parent his child, He does it because he loves us. Often things happen which we don't understand but it works out for good to those who love Him.

God says that He has thoughts of peace towards us, not of evil for us.
