Mission Trip to Volgograd

A Kwasizabantu Mission team from Europe, Fernyb Jaegle and Benno Neufeld, responded to an invitation from Russian pastors to minister in the city of Volgograd, 3 to 8 October 2001.

On 4 October there was a meeting of various pastors and Christian leaders with the theme being "Unity among Church leaders." On 5 and 6 October there were meetings in the Cultural Hall with themes "Holy Living" and "Revival in the City." On 7 October the meeting was held in the movie theatre - the theme being "Revival."

There was a great hunger for God's Word and a closer cooperation among different Christian leaders. Municipal leaders having been asking the Christians for advice regarding the "plagues" troubling the city: drugs, alcohol, Aids, poverty and broken families.

Despite the difficult conditions it was encouraging to see that many Christians are working together in seeking the Lord for renewal. The work is huge and the workers are few therefore pray that the Lord of the harvest would send forth workers.
