Rev K Olsen and dr P Botha have just returned from a blessed preaching tour in Europe and America. Before the service dr P Botha reported on their experiences. The brethren in Europe and America sends lots of greetings.

Rev F Stegen also reported on the blessed tour they had in Romania with the Euro Choir. Many ministers expressed their appreciation with the way the Euro choir members conducted themselves and the lives they live. They also challenged their own youth whether they didn't want what they saw in the choir's youth; many responded and cleansed their lives.
After one service, the minister of the congregation got up and said, "My congregation, I have been a lukewarm minister. But from today onwards I want to be on fire for our Lord Jesus. Please forgive me."

All these meetings took place in the evenings. During the day we had services with the Euro Choir, and it was a blessed time. We realised once again that we have to be clean vessels for God to be able to use us.

Acts 19:17, 18, "This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds."

This portion is about the seven sons of Skeva, who wanted to work for God, but their own lives were not in order. The demon-possessed man leapt upon them and overpowered them, and they fled out of the house wounded and naked.
Woe unto you if you sing or preach God's Word - preaching of a pure heart, confession of sin, cleansing your life, being on fire for God - but you do not live it. You will be stripped naked by the devil.

Fear fell on all who heard about what had happened, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. They realised that God was speaking to them and confessed their sins. Fear and reverence for God bring repentance.

May we once again start to fear God - not that we want to run away from Him but that we reverence, honour and respect Him. He alone is worthy to be worshipped, and magnified.

When you walk in the fear of God, you cannot slander or criticize your brother. Put away anything that hinders God to glorify Himself through your life. May He even sanctify your lips and the way you act, so that in every sphere of your life you will display the beauty of holiness.

The Bible says that

• "the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" (Prov 1:7)
• "the fear of the Lord prolongs life." (Prov 10:27)
• "the fear of God is to hate evil." (Prov 8:13)
• "the Lord pities those that fear Him." (Ps 103:13)

Do you desire a blessed, long life and wisdom? Then you must fear God and hate sin, as we read in these verses.

The Lord Jesus hasn't come for the healthy but for those who have a need. Wherever the Gospel is preached there are those who reject God's Word and those who accept it. May you realise your need today, accept God's Word, fear the Lord and cleanse your life, so that you will be a clean vessel in God's hand.
