A New Person!

I grew up in a rural area with sin all around me. It all started when I went to school and I got involved with the wrong friends and my drinking and smoking started.

I progressed to using dagga and then to smoking tik,  (crystal meth), mandrax and crack cocaine.

Things went from bad to worse as I continued on this road of destruction and I started selling ‘tik’ to support my habit.

I used to steal from my family and deceive them for my own selfish gain and I hurt them terribly when I ended up in jail on several occasions.

Finally, I was on the brink of committing suicide – the thought had crossed my mind more than once.

I had no contact with my own daughter and my family did not want me back in the house. I was a wretch and out of my mind because of sin.

One day my mother got a phone number from a friend. The son of this friend was staying at KwaSizabantu Mission at the time.

After calling him and making arrangements, I was taken to the mission in November 2015.

What I experienced at the mission after beginning to confess my sin and giving my life to the Lord was like nothing I had ever experienced in my entire life.

The Lord has helped me so much and is still helping me today.

He has restored my relationship with my family and my relationship with my daughter.

I have become a totally new person, all because one day I decided enough was enough and made the choice to follow the living God – the One Who gave His life for me.

Today I am working as a production supervisor in the water bottling plant based at KwaSizabantu Mission.

Soli Deo Gloria.
