aQuellé Bottling Facility

Abounding Grace

Emseni, meaning Place of Grace, beautifully describes the site of the new aQuellé bottling facility, recently built on Emseni Farm, adjacent to the original bottling plant.

Director of the company, Nico Bosman, describes the journey:
“It is with much thankfulness to the Lord that we start 2021. The new year has brought with it new meaning and appreciation for the countless blessings in our lives. The  addition of  a  third  water bottling plant, amid the numerous challenges of the past year is only due to God’s abundant grace. It marks an exciting new development for aQuellé and allows us to continue supporting the livelihoods of thousands of people and uplifting the community, as we strive to make a difference in people’s lives.”

Founded in 1998 in the humble beginnings of a 360m2 bottling plant, aQuellé has developed a brand new facility of over 23 000m2. Construction commenced in March 2020 and was completed by mid-December - an astounding 9 months, despite the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 and the related national lockdowns. The plant was planned and machinery purchased with the aim of being as energy efficient and environmentally friendly as possible.

"Lord, thank you for what You are doing.
You have made the impossible possible.
We praise Your holy name."
Reverend EH Stegen
Founder of KwaSizabantu Mission and aQuellé

Featuring a modern design, with attention to detail, the building overlooks the spectacular scenery of the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal, home of aQuellé. The dedication and unity of the construction team is truly commendable. And as part of aQuellé’s vision to grow local talent and share their blessings with others, members of the local community were included in the project and upskilled to form part of the larger building team.

The 6-hectare platform on which the facility is built, aptly accommodates future growth opportunities by providing space for further expansion and increased warehousing. The facility is equipped with two state-of-the-art bottling lines for increased production capacity whilst also creating exciting avenues for range diversification.

But most thrilling is the positive impact the new facility will have on the surrounding communities. This is the heart of aQuellé. Through the increase of job opportunities families are sustained, livelihoods are improved, and children are given better prospects.

Beyond its own rural home, aQuellé looks forward to refreshing South Africa with its pristine quality, affordable and delicious refreshment in every bottle produced in the new bottling plant. The company echoes the prayer of its founder, Reverend EH Stegen: “Lord, thank you for what You are doing. You have made the impossible possible. We praise Your holy name.”
