I Found What I Was Earnestly Seeking

I have been visiting KwaSizabantu Mission for just over 40 years now, since the very beginning when I first met Rev. Erlo Stegen and the KwaSizabantu choir at a gathering for church leaders from all around South Africa in the 1970s which took place in Pretoria, I can testify that from the very first encounter with them I was impressed with the peace and joy radiating from the faces and lives of those from KwaSizabantu Mission. The genuine love they had for one another and Christian walk made them stand out amongst the crowd for me, I felt I had to find out what it was that gave them this joy which I found lacking in my own personal Christian life at that time and which I was earnestly seeking for.

I was introduced to Rev. Erlo Stegen and he invited me to visit the mission, an invitation I accepted and through the message of confession and repentance could find the peace and joy I had been searching for. I am so thankful for what God has done through his faithful servants at the Mission. I have not found any change or wavering from the truth laid out in God’s Word. Not only have I been richly blessed, but members of my family have been blessed there too over the ensuing years. No one has ever asked me for one cent when visiting the Mission. I could feel free to visit whenever I wanted and welcomed warmly, provided with a place to sleep, three meals a day, all for FREE!!! Where do you have that!? From that day to this the life of Rev. Erlo Stegen has been an example and encouragement to me personally, I am reminded me of the verse found in Hebrews 6:12:

That ye be Followers of Them, who through Faith and Patience inherit the Promises.

Those at the mission and co-workers have been a blessing and after 40+ years I’ve only found the work growing through the grace of God. I still regularly visit the mission and that same genuine love and Christian example of living for Christ is the same today as it was then!

2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
