Malelane Youth Conference

Friday, 28 September – Monday, 1 October 2018

Even though there were challenges with transport the opening service of the Malelane youth conference, by God’s grace, could take place on Friday evening.

This year 370 young people were registered and another 300 local youth attended the services during the day, including the team from Kwasizabantu Mission.

Children were fetched from various places on Friday as well as Saturday. They came from as far as Oshoek, Lochiel, Badplaas, Barberton, Matsulu, Kanjamazane, Phola, Chlau Chlau, Thulamahashe, Nogobotsi and Magogeni.

God’s provision was evident in every way; food, accommodation, water and even a pick-up with bananas arrived!

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday there were three services daily which were a source of inspiration to the young people to choose wisely how to live so as to ensure God’s blessing in this world and eternal peace in the world to come.

The Swazi Queen, Chief Shongwe’s mother honoured us with her presence on Saturday and encouraged and challenged the young people at the morning service. The Sunday morning service was attended by the Honourable Swazi Prince who also passed on wonderful words of wisdom and expressed his appreciation for the work of the mission in addressing social ills and providing upliftment opportunities to the local community

The closing service on Monday evening was a challenge to the young people to nurture the seed that was planted during the conference.

We thank God for the amazing way in which He worked in the lives of the young people, and how He, by His grace and mercy, kept His hand over the vehicles and everyone traveling to and from the conference.
