Daniel 7
24 The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings. 25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
26 ‘But the court shall be seated, And they shall take away his dominion, To consume and destroy it forever. 27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’
28 “This is the end of the account. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed; but I kept the matter in my heart.”
This is a weighty matter recorded by Daniel. It is speaking here of the antichrist. Although the antichrist is not yet revealed in body, the spirit of him is already at work. He works in opposition to God’s spirit. He exalts himself above anything called God and sets out with the intention of changing time and law.
Let’s look at God’s Eternal Kingdom. In v. 26 it isn’t referring to God’s Kingdom one day in heaven but already here on earth. There’s nothing wrong with the desire to go to heaven but God has much more for us. God wants to dwell among His people on earth. Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven”, and “Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory”. When we pray the “Our Father” we’re praying that God’s will be done right here on earth. We are to fight the good fight of faith right here on earth. We have work to do for God on earth. Many Christians have a fatalistic spirit about the events on earth. So they do nothing for God. They build their own kingdom and neglect God’s work. They buy houses and lands and gather money as dust, yet do nothing for God’s work, for they have no desire for God’s will to be done on earth.
Here we read about ten horns and then a little one coming up after them. That one is the antichrist. He is not yet here in body, but his spirit is already at work.
In our country the Lord’s ascension is no longer acknowledged. They try to change times. They try to refer to Christmas as the Festive Season or Xmas. They want to leave Christ out. The antichrist try to change the very laws of God.
In our country there is a move to redefine marriage to include men marrying men and women. God created Adam and Eve. Man needed a helpmeet, woman. That is God’s eternal law. He made them Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve.
They seek to change times. Our times are in God’s hands, but they try to introduce euthanasia so man can determine the time he will die.
God creates life in the womb of a woman at conception but they try to change that by killing the unborn child through abortion.
With incremental changes the spirit of the antichrist works and eats away at God’s laws and times and seasons.
Do you know what it means for His will to be done in your life? Don’t dream about going to heaven one day if you’re a rotten egg, and you are not doing His will. Get started right away to let God’s will be done in your life. Do not build a kingdom for yourself on earth. One day you will have to give account what you’ve done with your earthly goods which God has entrusted you with.
Last week a certain sangoma (witch doctor) was brought to the mission for he greatly desired to come. He was a raw heathen. Here he related to Rev Stegen how he had a dream where he saw a man who judged all the people and nations of the earth. His eyes sparkled like lightning and his whole body shone as gold or silver in a furnace. Before Him stood all the people of the earth in a long queue, even longer than from here to Greytown. Beside Him was a huge book. As He opened the book and read a name, that particular person was instantly in front of Him, and judged according to his works while on earth. Suddenly he himself (this witch doctor) found himself in front of the Judge, who told him to repent of his sins. He went into minute detail and also told him to make restitution and then to tell all people to repent of their sins and prepare for the coming Judgement Day.
He asked Rev Stegen who this man was that he saw, and was told that He is Jesus. Then this witch doctor thoroughly confessed and repented of his sins and asked for an opportunity to speak over the radio and apologize publicly to the listeners for his sinful life.
Godly sorrow brings about true repentance unto life.
Here we have this heathen who found the purpose in life. Have you who call yourself a Christian found the purpose in life, or are you still holding grudges against others because of petty things they have done to you? You cannot progress and do His will in such a manner. Make sure you are busy with His everlasting Kingdom that will destroy the devil’s kingdom.
