“Last Days Coldness”

What will happen when Christ brings to light the hidden things in your life?

These days secret things were brought to light in news articles about a well known personality, and he was greatly ashamed. How much greater shame will it bring when it’s brought to light on Judgement Day!

Matthew 24

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

This is a most frightening thought about the end times, that because iniquity abound the love of many will grow cold.

What is your love to the Lord like? Remember what that love was like, where nothing was too big. What is it like now?

You wanted to tell everyone about the new life you had been given.

Is it still the same or do you still love the Lord but it’s no longer as at the beginning.

Do you still do everything in the best interests of the Lord’s Kingdom, where the question is not just whether it’s a sin, but rather is this the best thing in the interest of Your Kingdom?

Where do you stand in the light of this word?

The question is not whether you still love the Lord but whether or not it’s still fervent and not cold.

These false prophets will deceive many to get involved in side issues and miss the most important thing.

To live a holy life is not easy. It costs. Where He balances every word you speak and every thought you think. And then we rather take the easy way and don’t take it as serious as we ought.

We can look at the life of a very special person whose life was full of God’s goodness. He was chosen of God. But his love grew cold and he got distracted. Samson.

He allowed the temptation of women to get the better of him. It’s much easier to resist this temptation when it first appears than to get rid of it once you’ve flirted with it.

His parents warned him, but as when a boy falls in love with a girl the parents’ advice means nothing, so Samson didn’t listen to his parents. And almost immediately he suffered the consequences.

We know of three women he had affairs with, but someone who lives this life usually have many more.

His love for the Lord grew cold as his love for women increased. He seemed obsessed with this lust in his life.

His judgment got completely clouded, so that he couldn’t discern anymore. Even when he realized that Delilah had hidden the Philistines in the room he continued flirting with fire and underestimated his enemy.

Eventually he gave the holy secret which God had given him, to the enemy.

By now he had a lot of self belief. He trusted fully in himself. But then he discovered that without God he was completely weak. And soon after that he was blind too.

His story just illustrates the danger of allowing your first love to grow cold.

May we not be numbered among those whose love grows cold.
