“Living Before the Lord”

Isaiah 6

1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

An engagement is not marriage. Christians are not to have love-affairs like the world and live in sexual immorality before marriage. God need to guide you to live a pure life before marriage and enter marriage in purity.

The Bible repeatedly tells us that the one who lives for God is blessed, but he who turns his back on God will not prosper. The seraphims cried, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord’. This is the holiness we want to see in our lives, and nothing of the world’s dirt.

Parents can thank God for children who serve God and choose to get married in a pure way. In Gal 5:24 we read that, ‘Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts’. The Bible teach us to flee youthful lusts, not just in our mind, but physically as well.

You are free to make your own choices, but you’re not free to choose the consequences of your choices.

Cleanse your life so that God’s glory be seen on your face and in your life.
