“To Fear God is to Hate Sin”

Acts 24

16 This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.

Paul says he strives to always have a conscience without offence toward God and man. This should be our desire too, and that we do not deviate to the right or left from God’s plan for us. Many people wonder whether they will make it to heaven. They doubt God’s work on Calvary. If anything comes between you and God, you should go to Him for forgiveness and justification.

Job 27

3 As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils,

4 My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.

5 Far be it from me That I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

God testified of Job that he feared God and shunned evil.

Have you taken stock of your life, that God can say the same of you? If not, your life has to change. You must come closer to God day by day. May we be doers of His Word when He speaks to us. Come to Him that His precious Blood can cleanse you and you be conformed to Him.

Come to Jesus and confess if you’re still attracted by the world, jealous when someone else is blest; filled with youthful lusts, gossip or anger. Acknowledge when you’re living in hypocrisy, knowing something is not right in your life, yet continue as if nothing is wrong.

To fear God is to hate sin.

When you hate the sin and come to Him to set you free, He will set you free. Resist sin to the shedding of blood. We must not excuse our lukewarmness, but confront, acknowledge, and forsake it.

See to it that your relationship with the Lord Jesus stays clean and pure.
