“Who Shall Ascend the Mountain of the Lord?”

Psalms 24

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Not all who tries to ascend God’s mountain actually succeeds. To ascend the mountain of the Lord is not easy, but it is glorious. Unless you are fully determined you will certainly fail.

Evan Roberts said, if you want to experience revival. 1) Confess all known sins. 2) Deal with and get rid of anything doubtful in your life – something you wonder, whether a Christian should be doing it or not. 3) Obey the Holy Spirit immediately when He speaks to you. 4) Confess Christ publicly.

A preacher’s relationship with his wife is extremely important; dwell in wisdom with your wife as the weaker vessel that your prayers be not hindered. You cannot go out and preach to the world, if right at home your marriage is not in order.

If you cannot shake the world through God’s power, then surely the world will shake you. Later on in this chapter we are commanded, ‘open the gates, so that the King of Glory can come in’. How do you open the gates? By cleansing your hands, hearts and lips. Only a fool will disobey such clear instructions from God.

Be practical and obey what God shows you. Bring your sins to Christ who can cleanse you and make you fit to serve and be more than conquerors.

The audience is probably the biggest ever and we are thankful that so many have responded to the invitation to this 14th Kwasizabantu Ministers’ Conference.
