James 1
25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
Blessedness – The Greek word, makarios, used in this verse, means to be “supremely blessed”. The Afrikaans translates this word in other places as “welgeluksalig”, which means to be three times blessed. Such a person has life joy, is satisfied and is to be envied.
This verse gives the secret of obtaining such blessedness. You must study and go deep into God’s perfect law of liberty, and persevere in it. You must meditate on God’s Word, and obey His Word.
God’s Word must be our compass for direction. Never go according to your own feelings, but let His Word guide you.
