Hans Koller

An Example for Me to Follow

My name is Hans Koller, I am from Romania; and I'm a Lutheran priest, after some further studies - Reformed priest. I served in the German Lutheran Church in Romania, then for ten years in the Reformed Church in Switzerland.
In 1986 I met Erlo Stegen. Since then I have accompanied him all over Europe. At least once a year I visited him at KwaSizabantu Mission in South Africa. Erlo Stegen is to me like a parent, a very special man. It is and has always been an example for me to follow. To this day, I have not known a Christian missionary movement similar to the KwaSizabantu Mission. It is a place where I found help together with so many others.
Since 1998 we have organized annual conferences with Erlo Stegen here in Voiteg, Romania, where we have a KwaSizabantu Romania Mission. You know, Mr. Stegen's life, Mr. Stegen's family, the KwaSizabantu Mission in South Africa motivated and encouraged me so that I had the desire to have the same place in Romania, a KwaSizabantu Mission.

We've hosted Erlo Stegen here in Voiteg since 1998, when all that was here was a ruin. Today it is a place where we live together, about ninety people, just like in Sizabantu South Africa, and we also have a Christian school where about sixty children can attend.,
Since 1998 we have had annual conferences here in Romania. I was Mr. Erlo Stegen's translator. I can not remember him ever talking about money, not even the cost of the plane tickets. His life, his family's life and the KwaSizabantu Mission, I repeat, the one in South Africa, have been a great blessing to me and they still are to this day.

South Africa is blessed to have such a man of God, like Erlo Stegen, in the country.
May God bless South Africa!
