KwaSizabantu Youth Conference, December 2024
In the weeks leading up to the 2024 December Youth Conference, the Mission was buzzing with activity as we prepared to host thousands of young people. Volunteers worked tirelessly across various departments, including food, transport, and maintenance, ensuring everything was in place for the event, which kicked off on December 10th.
The theme of the conference, "Jesus is the Light of the World," was inspired by Jesus' words in John 8:12. It was truly uplifting to witness the power of this Light at work in the lives of many, as burdens of sin were lifted at the Cross and hearts were transformed. The young people were equipped in numerous ways to return to their communities and families as light bearers, ready to live out their faith.
A notable highlight of the event was the presence of KZN Premier, Mr. Ntuli, and Prince Zuzifa Buthelezi, who both addressed the youth on Saturday. Their words of wisdom, encouragement, and exhortation left a lasting impact. Additionally, members of the SAPS inspired the youth to set goals for their future and took time to answer their questions.
The sports day, as always, was a highlight, with everyone enjoying the friendly competition and camaraderie.
KwaSizabantu Mission thanks the Lord for His protection and provision throughout the event. We were once again reminded that it is through the obedience of His faithful servant, Reverend Stegen, that conferences like this continue to thrive and be blessed. It is our prayer that we will sustain this flame and carry forward the good work begun by Reverend Stegen, Ms Dube, and others.
