Youth Conference December 2025
Once again KwaSizabantu Mission came alive with excitement as close to 5 000 children gathered for the December Youth Conference. The airstrip was lined with tents where meals were shared and enjoyed, while children’s dormitories and accommodation across the mission buzzed with activity. The behind-the-scenes teams jumped to their duties, helping with registration, marshalling, cooking and cleaning. The auditorium rang as enthusiastic voices joined to sing Akekho ofana noJesu. As was witnessed throughout the conference, indeed, there is no one like Jesus.
The children were addressed by several honoured guests. KwaZulu-Natal Premier T Ntuli visited on Friday, 12 December, morning. On Saturday, a team from the South African Police Service spoke to the youth, sharing practical and meaningful messages on safety and responsible citizenship. On Sunday, iNkosi Zuzifa Buthelezi honoured the gathering, encouraging the young people to respond to God’s invitation so that they might make a difference in their homes and communities.
The theme, Come to Me, was woven into every message. As the week unfolded, it became clear that God was extending a personal invitation to each child. In this dark and demanding world, many voices compete for a young person’s attention, but only one invitation carries the promise, “I will give you rest.” We rejoiced with those who responded to this invitation. They testify that they receive the message of salvation and in their thousands, accept Jesus who saves and restores what the devil has robbed them of. We continue to pray that God’s hand of mercy will rest on every child as they return to their homes and communities.
