The Manipulation of Pain in the Media

Regarding the News24 reports about the KwaSizabantu mission, I found the methodology of the onslaught shocking and vicious indeed. I’ve sought to understand what it is all about, as my experience at KSB has not been so.

With respect, I have made this one observation:

The pain, as presented by those individuals who aired their past hurts and alleged injustices in the Media, is real. I do not judge them for their expression because that is their experience. However, I perceive that their pain is manipulated by News24 and their clique of commenters. It is a steam-rolling endeavor to create sensation and teardown the mission with its businesses. I questioned the veracity of their written and spoken words. It seems as if News24 hopes to win the 2020 award for top investigative journalism and collapsing a so-called cult! This is diabolic. The wicked power of words. I assure you that when the Media is done with exploiting the complainants’ hurts for their own gain, they will spew them out high and dry and walk away with their trophy. They are fair game.

My heart goes out to them as they actually need closure and healing of past hurts which the Media can’t and won’t do. Dear wounded soul, seek to know who you are in Jesus Christ. There is a balm in Gilead to make the wounded whole. I fully believe that a day of reckoning is coming, and all will be revealed, and justice will be served.

My prayers are with all of you during this testing time.

To my two dear sisters who work on the mission, I admire you and God bless you. I know that your desire to serve God is genuine, and that the media mania does not distract from that higher goal. Nobody can take that from you unless you allow them to.

But “I know Whom I have believed
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against THAT DAY.”

Kind regards,
